Shorty's Gins has won a GOLD medal at the Women's Wine and Spirit's Awards 2021, in Hong Kong. Finally international recognition at the highest level. Strive for Perfection: The Royal Edition

Shorty’s Gins is extremely honoured to be one of the luxury brands featured in Strive for Perfection: The Royal Edition, an official publication for The International Club for Rolls-Royce and Bentley Enthusiasts, published by St James’s House. We will be appearing in this most exclusive coffee-table book, a one-off edition to celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s 95th birthday. In addition to celebrating the remarkable heritage of Rolls-Royce and Bentley motorcars, this prestigious book will document the historic relationship between the famous marques and the Royal Family.

Having been identified as one of the ‘best in breed’ companies by researchers at St James’s House, Shorty’s Gins will be appearing alongside some of the most respected and luxurious brands from around the world. Our story, highlighting our award-winning Endeavour Gin, will be produced by royal biographer and award-winning author Robert Jobson, who has chronicled the story of the House of Windsor for the past 30 years. Photographs to accompany our story have been taken by international award-winning photographer, Giles Christopher.

The book will provide members, collectors and enthusiasts with a quality publication that also serves as a lifestyle guide for high-net-worth individuals, something they can rely on, respect and trust.

Shorty and the CEO (Mum!) will be attending, along with 2,000 invited guests, the global book launch/champagne reception in October at the Grosvenor House on Park Lane in London. Immediately after the book launch, The London Press Club Ball will be held in the Great Room. It will be attended by more than 700 senior media figures, MP’s, celebrities and VIP guests.

The events network objective is simple: to facilitate cooperation and exciting new business development activities between top-end companies and the club’s members and owners from around the world.

This is a massive opportunity for Shorty’s Gins to be introduced to a wider yet targeted audience, to network with like-minded companies and to continue to passionately talk about and promote the Shorty’s brand and our Endeavour Gin to everyone.

January

We are delighted to announce that we will be handed the keys to our new premises on the ground floor of Guisborough Town Hall mid February! Then the shop fit out will begin. The still is due to arrive from China then too. All systems will be go go go. Then there will be a formal grand opening scheduled for the end of March. We will keep you posted friends.

March

Well as you all know we did not get into the town hall as we had hoped in February! However, we hope to have the keys 1st March. Hand over training tomorrow and Friday am. The bespoke hand made shop units, the counter, plinth, cabinet and storage area units are nearly ready thanks to Master Joiner Peter Mays and assistant Steve. The counter and plinth are going in tomorrow. Time is of the essence as we intend to have our grand opening on Good Friday. The copper pot still finally arrived from China, six weeks late, and is being commissioned next week and the first run of Town Hall Gin will be done thereafter. Exciting times ahead. Thank you everyone who has supported us from day one but especially the last fourteen months. It hasn't been easy but from little acorns great oaks grow. I want to be a tree!  Shorty xx

July

So we have been in the Guisborough Town Hall for three months now and it has honestly changed our lives. We have amazing visitors and customers every week. Local businesses have been so supportive too. This leap of faith has certainly paid off. Lots more to come folks. Watch this space!
